Shift Happens is a 12-page zine that explores how modular spaces can enhance the workflow of creative individuals.
The project investigates how physical environments impact productivity and creativity, offering playful yet practical insights into workspace design. Drawing from both vintage and modern aesthetics, the zine presents ideas through custom illustrations, real-world examples, and a clear, engaging layout. The goal was to make the concept of flexible workspaces feel accessible and fun, while still being informative.
The zine was entirely handmade—designed using InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, then printed, sewn together, and finished by cutting out squiggly shapes in the cover. This DIY approach reinforced the theme of adaptability and personal expression. Shift Happens stands as both a design object and a thoughtful exploration of how space can shape creative work. To make it more widely available, I also created a website where people can learn more about the project and purchase a copy of the zine.
